A Romantic Ralph Lauren Inspired Wedding Day

A cocktail lounge and bar area with midcentury modern furniture next to a pool at the Starlight Motor Inn in Charleston, SC. Vintage Event Furniture rentals from The French Eclectic

We don't say this lightly. This shoot had it.

When South Carolina Bride came to us about a Boho x Ralph Lauren inspired styled shoot at Old Wide Awake Plantation on Johns Island, we were pulling their wishlist items before they even finished the sentence. Their team's design board leaned into a Ralph Lauren bohemian aesthetic...think sun-soaked, well-traveled, and full of character. Kilim rugs, layered textiles, storied vintage pieces, and that warm lived-in feeling that never goes out of style.

Ancient live oaks, golden Lowcountry light, and a vision that was equal parts romantic and timeless in the best way possible. A vintage caviar Land Rover, a harpist, a wrap-around porch, furniture that fit the theme perfect and gorgeous bridal gowns...honestly, file this under a perfect southern afternoon.

It Takes A Village

Tim Willoughby was behind the lens bringing the magic to life and Wisteria Designs designed lush florals that were moody and completely unforgettable. The 'bride and groom' were dressed to the nines in two different gowns from The Poinsett Bridal in Greenville and a sharp suit from M. Dumas & Sons, with hair by A Blended Crown and makeup by Christie Kerrigan. CRU Catering and Charleston Caviar handled the spread and The Tattooed Harpist played on the porch.

The Tango and Cha Cha Peacock Chairs held court in the middle of that oak alley like they owned the place (and they did).

As for our pieces, the Tango and Cha Cha Peacock Chairs held court in the middle of that oak alley like they owned the place (and they did). The Mr. Bates table sat in the middle with Vintage Decanters and Patina Cups. The Rocky Rattan table was perfectly outfitted with lush florals and the most delicious charcuterie display. Our vintage steamer trunks became the most beautiful moment you've ever seen. On the wraparound porch, our Garden State Blonde carved side table paired well with our Bohemian Rhapsody couch. Vintage rugs, rattan textures, cowhides, brass candlesticks...every piece showed up and showed out.

We love making magic with good people. Big thank you to the entire team, and to South Carolina Bride for dreaming this one up.
